Guided Pregnancy Meditation with Pregnancy Affirmations and Mantras (& free script!)
Pregnancy can be filled with a mixture of emotion. You might move from excited to anxious to hopeful and terrified; all in the space of a few minutes. This guided pregnancy meditation can help.
If you’ve previously had negative experiences of pregnancy, lost a baby, or it’s taken a really long time to get here – you might be feeling even more overwhelmed by the rollercoaster of emotions. This guided pregnancy meditation uses affirmations and mantra to help you feel more grounded in your body.
In this guided pregnancy meditation we will set the intention to rewire those internal thoughts from “I’m scared” to “I’m safe” and allow the emotions to follow.
As I say the affirmations you might like to repeat them silently to yourself or just let the sound resonate in your body. Towards the end of this guided pregnancy meditation we’ll repeat the sanskrit mantra “Om Namay Shivaya” which means “I bow down to Shiva” or “I bow down to the spirit within myself”.
This mantra is about knowing and understanding our inner or higher self. Through practicing this mantra we work to shift those negative thoughts and lean into trusting the strength of our inner knowing. Again, you can repeat the mantra with me or just let the sound vibrate in your body.

Guided pregnancy meditation script
Start by making yourself comfortable in either a seated of lying position. Support your body with pillows or blankets so that you can fully relax and allow your focus to shift from awareness of the physical body to an awareness of the emotional, mental and energetic bodies. Notice how your body feels. Can you make yourself 10% more comfortable.
Let yourself have another little wriggle, take a deep breath and then let yourself sink into this position. Feel your limbs become heavy and sinking into the floor and the supports beneath you. Bring awareness to your breath. First by just following the natural rhythm. Notice as you breathe in. And notice as you breathe out. In and out. In and out.
Start extending the breath now. Can you breathe in for a few seconds longer. Can you lengthen your exhale a little bit more. Notice where the breath moves in your body as you breathe deeply with me. Breathing in. And breathing out. Breathing in and breathing out. Let the rocking of your breath soothe you into a state of deep relaxation.
Feel your muscles sighing with relief as you rest and breathe. Let your body remain at rest as you listen to the affirmations and mantra now. Let your awareness shift effortlessly to these words as I say them. Allow yourself to feel the vibrations of these words and perhaps any emotions that rise as you hear them. There is no right or wrong way to experience this meditation. Just allow yourself to be present as you listen.
My body is strong and healthy.
My baby is healthy and happy.
My baby is safe and loved.
I accept this moment for everything that it is.
I am grateful for this moment.
I trust that everything is well.
I am safe.
My baby is safe.
Everything is going to be okay.
I choose to feel calm in this moment.
I breathe in calm.
I breathe out stress.
My body is perfectly healthy and my baby is growing happily.
I trust my intuition.
I love my baby.
I send that feeling of love from my heart to my womb.
I let go of worry and fears.
I trust that everything is okay.

Pause for up to 20 minutes.
It’s time now to start bringing yourself back. Deepen your breathing and start taking some small movements; stretching out and wriggly your fingers and toes.
When you feel ready to, bring yourself back to a seated position and return slow to your day.
