10 Minute Yoga – strong legs for Mums

A few weeks ago I asked on my Facebook page for some suggestions of what 10 minute yoga sequences you guys would like to see. Overwhelmingly it seems you want to see yoga that focuses on you as a Mum but can be done with kids in tow.

Which sounds simpler than it actually is.  I can’t plan what Eamon and Rory will do as I film and I have no clue what your kids will do, or how many you have, or how old they are.  So I can’t really plan these sequences (other than having a basic idea of what I will work on).

So instead of trying to make it ‘perfect’ I’m just showing you a sequence for legs today (another request) and I talk you through the poses and you’ll see how I manage Eamon and Rory whilst I practice.  Obviously the biggest thing you’ll need to get your head around if you are practicing with kids around is that they’re unpredictable and you have to react and move around them as you go.  Basically a fantastic lesson in being present really.  And if that isn’t what yoga is all about, I don’t know what is.

So give it a go with your little ones. If all else fails they might enjoy watching Eamon jump around in his undies doing yoga whilst you get to do a few poses (because apparently we WILL NOT be putting pants on today!  For the record I took a deep breath and let it go. No pants it is.)

*Oh and apologies for not having a head later in the video – it’s kinda how I feel on little sleep most days. One day I’ll learn how to get the camera straight before filming.
